The capital city of Denmark, Copenhagen is reckoned to be one of the happiest cities in the world. It is located on the east coast of Zealand, the largest of Denmark’s islands, and has efficient transport options for visitors. The city is served by Copenhagen Airport together with the 24-hour metro and regular trains which connect the main transport hubs. Full of exhibitions, galleries and museums, Copenhagen also considers itself to be the dining capital of the Nordic world and has a wide range of accommodation options to suit all budgets.
Parken Stadium is the National Stadium of Denmark. Located in the heart of the city, it is the home of both the Danish National Team and FC Copenhagen, the country’s most successful club. The stadium was founded in 1911 and totally renovated in 1992, and throughout the years it has been a historic place for Danish football. In addition to football, Parken Stadium provides a spectacular venue for other sporting events and big-name concerts including Madonna, George Michael, and the Rolling Stones. Thanks to its sliding roof, both open air and indoor events are made possible according to the season.
