Dear friends,

In 2020, the UEFA European Football Championship will celebrate its 60th birthday. To mark this occasion, Europe will throw open its doors to receive the finals – with 12 nations across the continent hosting the tournament.

UEFA EURO 2020 will get closer to more people than ever before – creating an unforgettable atmosphere for a truly unique event. It will provide fans, the media and participating national football teams alike the opportunity to discover a variety of countries, each with its own distinct culture.

With the support of each host association, and taking into account our own experience from staging the UEFA European Football Championship, this online team facilities catalogue caters for all needs that the teams will have to prepare for their matches during UEFA EURO 2020. After visiting more than 150 hotels and over 100 training centres in the last two years, UEFA has narrowed this down to provide up to four team base camp options per host city, each consisting of a hotel and training centre.

This catalogue offers teams a broad selection of base camps. Facilities ranging from local amateur clubs to national performance centres are linked to hotels in a variety of locations and styles, from city centre to by the sea and from golf resorts to countryside mansions. All were meticulously chosen using UEFA’s expertise and the extensive knowledge each host association has of its local football environment. Our goal is to provide a comfortable and secure environment, which at the same time meets the highest international standards and caters for the unique requirements of professional athletes.

As UEFA EURO 2020 is unique, with 12 host cities across Europe staging the finals, a unique approach was also required in the selection of the team base camps. To emphasise the vital role that the host cities play, each team base camp is located within a 60 kilometre radius of each stadium hosting matches in the final tournament. This proximity will help limit the travel distance for the national teams and allows them more time for optimum match preparations.

We trust this catalogue strengthens the bridges between the 12 host cities and above all supports all participating national associations in finding their ‘home away from home’ during the final tournament of UEFA EURO 2020.
